No Aliens vs. Predator for Germany

Sorry, Germany, but Sega has plainly decided to save itself extraordinary hassle by just non bothering to release Aliens vs. Marauder in your country when it comes out next year.

Sega is apparently concerned that the mellow levels of violence in the lame will keep IT from being rated by the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK), the German videogame rating agency. The publisher doesn't neediness to disrupt the "coherence" with the Alien and Predator brands past modifying the contentedness to fit USK restrictions, so rather than departure to the expense of having the mettlesome translated and localized for Germany it has decided non to release it in the country at all.

High German site PC Games Ironware says the run is "forced but not surprising" given the raze of wildness expected in the biz and the fact that a USK rejection would almost certainly mean Sega would lose money on a German release. Sega will presumptively still submit the game for consideration in Australia, some other body politic notorious for refusing to classify violent videogames, because a translated version won't be necessary.

At this point, PC Games Hardware is the exclusively site reportage on this announcement; we've dropped a line to Sega Europe for official ratification and will update once we have it.
